RIP Ralph - I grew up on N. Allen Street so I have known Ralph all my life. He was larger than life a towering guy with a heart of gold! I will never forget you and when I hear the name IRMA I will smile and think of you since that is what you always called me! Blessed to have known you!

When is was a kid i remember looking across the street at Ralphs 67 black Coronet R/T and remember what he told me back then...my dad won't let me park it at the house...its too loud....lol....Him and his brother Kurt had great cars back then and im willing to bet that Ralphs cars where always open headers .lol....but i do remember Kurt starting his Rebel Machine for me and Ralph in the garage at a family get together, "at night" and reving it up... Kurt got yelled at for making a ruckus by my uncle Ralph....lol...Reminded me of getting yelled at by my own dad for the same kinda gear headed actions..
Many years later while cruising on Evert Road and taking a right to go up Central ave in my Coronet while following my AMC buddy Johnny Rossello in his 1968 Javelin....This guy in a half shell helmet with goggles on, pulls up on the right side of my car, on a very loud Harley....plus he was off the shoulder of the road mind you..lol....looks in and screams over the sound of the loud bike...nice Coronet...i use to have one just like it...it was an black R/T.....i started laughing and looked at him...Ralph...I yelled back..its your cuz Timmy....lol...he laughed...Holley shit..."yo cuz"...it had been a while since we seen each other....lol..The same thing happened years before at lebanon valley while i was in the staging lanes with ralph...lol..but thats another story...from that night on ,"the second time we ran into each other"...we just started hanging out and Ralph really got back into cars full time....we searched for cars...talked cars...raced cars...cars..cars cars...lol...so much fun was had in the last 5 to 6 years.... i wound up showing him a Plymouth Scamp he turned into the famous "lil grenade"....and then we found the aka..Cream Puff..1968 Dart ...credit gos to Michael John Ruggiero for pointing us in the right direction on the cream puff...Thanks Mike..I cant even begin to tell you of all the fun we had from that night on after Evert Road...So many storys...and for Ralph it was ..."so many trophies"...lol...
He will be alive with me every time i turn the key at the track or on the street... when i go down that quarter mile with my right foot welded to the floor boards...everytime the tach rolls up into the red and starts making the music we both loved to listen too.....and when that Mopar V8 starts making more power then it did on the last run...I will remember what Ralph would say ... ..that engine is sounding mean..its sounding bad azz cuz...lol.. If he liked something...he would tell ya what he though in a way that made you feel invincible...He was the best and he was my "cuz"..........I'll miss him more then i can say with words and he will never be forgotten........ when you need to hear the sound of all 8 rocking and rolling Ralph...and you miss the smell of burning rubber, just hop in that shotgun seat of the Dodge or the Plymouth......and when i look out over that dash just before i smash the throttle you'll hear me say .."this ones for you cuz" just like i told you i would....And don't worry Cuz...i won't red light..

Ralphie, I’ll always remember that smile and that wink and that Coors light in your hand. We were “youngans” when we met...you always joked and smiled and always made sure you said hello and how are you. I really liked that about you ...you were a genuine person who loved everybody. But the thing I will remember the most about you is your courage and your strength and your fight and your will to live...you inspired so many people and you will never ever be forgotten. I know you’re resting in peace ! God bless your family and your friends and your baby cakes .
