Time and distance prevented me from truly getting to know Arlene. It was clearly evident with the time I did spend with her that family and friends were the love of her life. I still have a family tree album she made many years ago that needs to be updated, and I can only wish that I could sit down with her and update it sharing memories as we go. At least now we know that Arlene is with the family she loved and cherished, and can rest in peace knowing how much she meant to all both past and present.

Denise, Dodie, Jamie and all the family: my deepest condolences to you all.
It was such a privilege to know and work with this strong, wonderful woman, who was so caring, conscientious, and did not suffer fools gladly. Her determination and courage these last months were inspiring.
I will miss you Arlene. Rest in the peace you so richly deserve.

I am so sorry. I always loved her. I am glad she got to come to the last few family reunions. Spoke to her about six weeks ago....was driving home and called her and we chatted about everything and nothing for about 40 minutes. She was so proud of all three of you girls. She will be missed.

Dear family, I am heartbroken for our loss of this wonderful lady. Arlene became my sister-in-law in 1976 when I married her brother Eddie and we were blessed with her warm and generous nature all these years. Her home was always open, food was always plentiful and the love was awesome. My love to all her family who she adored. Hold on to those precious memories, Emilie (Timmy) Fayetteville, WV

My heartfelt condolences to Arlene's family. I loved working with her for many years and continued our friendship after retirement. We enjoyed monthly retiree lunches, where she would always be the one one to calculate our bill and plan our next get together. She was a very special lady and will be greatly missed. RIP, Arlene, and enjoy your visits again with your best friend Pauline.
