Obituary of Steven William Daniels

Steven William Daniels passed away June 23, 2017 with his family by his side after a long battle with cancer at the Capital Living Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre in Schenectady, NY.

 He was born March 22, 1942 in Oneonta, NY to the late Archie William and Beatrice Shumway  Daniels.  

He worked for a few years at Catskill Game Farm in Catskill, NY as a groundskeeper in the 1970’s.  He was also employed for several years at The Oswald D. Heck developmental center in Niskayuna as an aid for the mentally disabled.

 His survivors include Kelly Lynn Clark (LaFoy) of Schenectady,who he loved as a daughter throughout his life; as well as Kelly's mother, Dorothy Clark (LaFoy) of Schenectady; step-sister Nancy Anderson (Daniels) and her husband, Ronnie from Arkadelphia, Arkansas and one half-brother Frank William Daniels of Rotterdam, NY along with his longtime neighbors Bob and Sandy who live in Schenectady, NY.

He was most happy when he was surrounded by people celebrating life.  A special thank you to the staff of the Cedar Unit at the Capital Living Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre in Schenectady, NY for their compassionate care they gave Dad throughout his stay.

Burial services will be held July 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at his graveside in Parkview Cemetery, Fehr Avenue, Schenectady. Those who wish to remember Steven in a special way may make a contribution to the American Cancer Society.
