Obituary of Diana Waite

Diana Waite, "Diane", 70, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Born in Albany, NY on June 23, 1946 Diane was the beloved daughter of Georgia (Lumpkin) Childress, and the late Nebraska Brace. She was also the beloved stepdaughter of Anne Marie Brace. She was a graduate of Phillip Schuyler High School with the class of 1964. She worked for NYS in Albany for over 30 years, until she retired in 2002. She was an avid traveler and especially loved going on cruises. She cherished the time she spent daily with her great granddaughter Olivia Gerard. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In addition to being survived by her mother and stepmother she is also survived by her brother Sheldon Brace; her children, Constance (William) Bing of Halfmoon and Joe Waite of Albany; her grandchildren, Monee (Chad) Gerard, William Bing Jr, Sharde (Joey) Fisk, Shania Waite, Jayla Waite, and Joshua Waite; and her six great grandchildren and numerous other relatives. Her siblings, Constance and Ronald Brace also predeceased her. Our mom and grandmother, who we loved dearly, will be truly missed. A special thank you to her granddaughter Monee Gerard for being her daily caregiver over the last eight years. In keeping with the wishes of Diane there will be no funeral services.
