Karen (Maleski) Mungari posted a condolence
Roger, Katherine, Emily, Joan, Jean & Janet, I am so truly sorry to read of Judi's death.
Judi and I met when I moved to Tremont St at the age of 3 and remained good (best) friends through high school. As life happens, Judi and I lost touch after she graduated, which was two years before me. We did run into each other about 35 years ago and sat together for hours talking about our childhood together and we laughed until we cried. I have not laughed as long or as hard since that day.
Even though we lost touch, there is a hole in my heart tonight as I write this to you. I have thought about Judi a million times over the years, especially on her birthday. I never knew her married name until I saw George's obit. I have always wished happiness for Judi when I thought of her and it seems my wish came true. She always wanted and needed the love and security of a family and it appears that is just what she had.
Katherine and Emily, your mom was a terrific gal. She had the best sense of humor and the most fantastic imagination of anyone I ever knew. She used to make up the greatest "spookie" stories when we would lay in bed during our hundreds of sleep-overs.
I always envied her height (even though she hated it as a teen) and her talent to write compostions and stories was remarkable.
Your mom was also responsible for me meeting my very first "love." She was the experienced dater at the age of 16 and I was only 14. We went through so much together, good and bad, but had the best laughs which is how I will always remember her.
Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
God bless you all.
