ALBANY- Gregg Davenport a lifelong resident of Albany died at home on May 20, 2016. Gregg was 55. Gregg, who had a great sense of humor, wanted it known that he died as a result of being stubborn, only occasionally following doctor's orders and raising hell for more than 5 decades. He enjoyed sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll till the day he died! He was the son of the late Ruth and Rollo Davenport. He leaves behind 3 sisters; Patricia Gross (late Richard Gross), Deborah Poulton (Edward), and Donna Barker, several nieces and nephews; Derek Gross, Randy Gross, Jason Gross, Tara Poulton (Marie Vergona), Reed Poulton (Ceara Poulin), Alyssa Barker, his cat Henry, and a multitude of friends. Gregg's life was filled with music, travelling across the country and internationally to live concerts to listen to the music he loved. He graduated from Vincentian Institute HS and worked for the state for many years. He also gave of his time and money to better the lives of his feline friends. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Gregg's name to the ASPCA. A celebration of his life and picnic will be held at Peebles Island state park on Monday, May 30 at 12 o’clock noon – all are welcome.
