Obituary of Chris M. Hellijas
SCHENECTADY –
Chris Hellijas, born on December 29, 1955, and a lifelong resident of Schenectady, New York, passed away on July 23, 2025.
Chris spent much of his life working hard to provide for his family and retired from Metro Ford. He is survived by his sons, Ryan Hellijas and Joseph Hellijas; Ryan’s mother and Chris’s life partner, Linda Hotailing; his brother, Kurt Hellijas (Joanne); and his sisters, Carolyn Hellijas and Gail Hellijas. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of friends who will miss him dearly. Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Vern and Fay Hellijas.
