Obituary of Philip Joseph Longthon

Philip Joseph Longthon died on May 2, 2025. Born May 30,1957, Philip was the fifth of six children born to the late Paul T. Longthon and Virginia Wood Longthon, and was raised on Freleigh Place in the village of Coxsackie.
Philip traveled widely as a young adult on cross country trips and to Europe before settling in Michigan for a number of years, where he served in the Army National Guard; he returned to the Albany area 25 years ago. A master carpenter by trade,Philip was a voracious reader and life-long stargazer.
Philip is survived by his five siblings: Michele, Maureen, Mark, Paulette and John Paul along with nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in the family plot at St.Marys Cemetery, Coxsackie. Friends wishing to remember Philip might donate to their local Library.
