Obituary of Juan R. Gonzalez
BRUNSWICK –
Mr. Juan R. Gonzalez, 103, passed away peacefully at home May 29, 2025 surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.
Born on March 15, 1922 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in his early life, he moved to Brooklyn, New York, where he tirelessly worked on the docks before joining Red Ball Parking Systems in Manhattan until his retirement in 1988.
After his beloved wife's passing in 2020, Juan moved to Troy to live with his son Raymond and daughter in law Cynthia where he spent his last years of comfort and happiness. Juan had a deep love for music and movies, but his greatest joy came from simple pleasures. Cruising the beaches of Puerto Rico, taking scenic drives through the back roads of Vermont and spending time with his ever-growing family. He is predeceased in death by his cherished wife of 6 decades Rosa Mary and his siblings.
He is survived by his sons Raymond (Cynthia), John (Mona), daughters Gisela and Sonia. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, each of whom he and them were blessed to know and deeply cherish. He lived a long meaningful life and was enriched with memories he created with those closest to him. He will be forever loved and deeply missed.
A special thank you to Community Hospice for their care and support during his last week's with us. May he rest in peace.
