Obituary of Blair Philip Allen
Blair Philip (Sam) Allen, 65, formerly of Greenville, Wallkill and Floral Park, died at home in Albany, NY on 05/30/25 after a long illness.
Blair grew up in Floral Park, oldest son of Blair W. and Rosemary Ann (Lupo) Allen. He attended Floral Park-Bellerose and our Lady of Victory Schools, Elmont Memorial High School and BOCES. He had multiple careers as a taxi driver, medical supply worker, trainer and finally providing full-time care to his father in the years before he died.
Survived by daughter Korra, sisters Christine Allen (Skip Feild), Jeanne Allen, Barbara (Dennis) Russell; brothers Matthew (Karen) Allen, Sean (Barbara) Boland; nieces Veronica Russell, Stephanie and Laura Boland; nephews Matthew Russell, Ryan and Connor Allen, David Hocutt; cousins Barbara Nancy (Dave) Andrews and Andrea (Mike) Drumm.
He is predeceased by parents Blair and Rosemary Allen; aunts Patricia Lupo and Sister Mary Blaise (Barbara Lupo), and uncle Wesley Allen (Sylvia and Darryl).
Special thanks to Barbara Nancy and Dave Andrews, Niya Tucker, Community Hospice Care of Albany for their care and support during his illness. There will be no funeral service; memorial TBD. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Nature Conservancy.
