Obituary of Yolanda Johnson

TROY –

Mrs. Yolanda Johnson, 63, of Troy, New York, formerly of Poland, passed away on April 21, 2025.

 

She was born in Poland on November 17, 1961 to the late Stefaine Slanda.

Yolanda moved to New Haven, Connecticut in 1965 and later moved to Troy, New York. She worked for Nurse Connection from 2004-2009 and later worked for Unity House from 2008-2025.

Yolanda enjoyed going to the casino/bingo and hockey games. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and will be warmly remembered as a kind soul who enjoyed helping people.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Matthew Johnson III, whom she married on January 5, 1998.

 

She was the devoted mother of Steven Hood, (Jennifer Hood) Christina Lovett ( Robert Lovett) Jessica Vroman (Mark Vroman) Justina Dornsife, the late Justin Dow, Stefaine Berglas, Matthew D. Johnson and Victoria Johnson.

 

Yoland was blessed with grandchildren Tyler Lovett, Savannah Lovett, Kyleigh Lovett, Alyssa Lovett, Ashlee Vroman, Callie Vroman, Jonathan Larkin, Elizabeth Vroman, Cadylinn Vroman, Jaxson Frost, Matthew Hood and Ethan Hood and great grandchildren Elizabeth Lovett and Teddy Lovett.

 

Yoland was predeceased by her mother Stefaine Slanda and her son Justin Dow.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Yolanda's Celebration of Life on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 3-7PM Harmony Mills Lofts 100 N. Mohawk St. - Mill 3 Central Tower Ist Floor.
