Obituary of Aaron Michael Newkirk

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Aaron Newkirk, age 26, of Waterford, NY, who left this world on May 12th, 2025.

Born in 1998, Aaron was the cherished son of Timothy and Kathy Newkirk. From an early age, Aaron brought joy, laughter, and boundless energy into the lives of those around him. Aaron had a deep love to go camping. While at camping his favorite part was sitting on his swing outside. Aaron also had a soft spot for stuffed animals, finding comfort and joy in their presence throughout his life. One of his favorite pastimes was watching the TV show Cops, which never failed to bring a smile to his face.

Aaron leaves behind his loving parents, Timothy and Kathy Newkirk of Waterford, NY, Brothers: Michael Chenette (Shannon) of Marietta, GA, Walter Chenette (Luecinda) of Latham, NY, Joshua Sass of Waterford, NY and Jacob Newkirk of Waterford, NY, Sister: Skylar Newkirk of Waterford, NY and all who were lucky enough to have shared time with him. Though his time with us was far too short, Aaron’s impact will be felt for a lifetime.

A service to honor Aaron’s life will be held on a date and location to be chosen by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Aaron’s memory to Autism Speaks.
