Obituary of Michael E. Pelton, Sr.

TROY –

Michael E. Pelton, Sr., 81, of Troy, formerly of Nassau, passed away peacefully at home on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.

Born in Albany, Michael was the son of the late James and Margaret (Harris) Pelton. Father, grandfather, and friend, Michael found joy in the simple things — the peace of a day spent fishing, the beauty of the outdoors, and, most of all, the time shared with his family and friends. His warmth, sense of humor, and quiet strength will be missed by all who knew him.

Michael is survived by his children: Jeanne P. DeMarco (Phil), James A. Pelton (Michelle), and Gregory M. Pelton (Rosa); his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jeanne P. Pelton, and his son, Michael E. Pelton Jr. In his later years, Michael enjoyed the company of Coco, his loyal Lab/Shepherd companion, who brought a spark of joy and laughter to his days.
