Obituary of Ronald F. Rodrigues
MIDDLEBURGH –
Ronald "Ronnie" Rodrigues, 79, of Middleburgh, NY, formerly of Lawrence, MA, passed away in the comfort of his own home on March 30, 2025.
He was born on December 29, 1945 in Salem, NH, a son of the late Thelma Silva and John Joseph Rodrigues. Ronnie lived in Lawrence, MA, Salem, NH and has since lived in Schenectady, NY and lastly Middleburgh, NY.
He received his education from Lawrence HS in Lawrence, MA. Ronnie served in the United States Air Force and retired from the Albany County Sheriff's Department as a Corrections Officer in 2010.
He was a member of both the American Legion (Cobleskill, NY) and the Elks Lodge (Esperance, NY).
Survivors include his wife of nearly 12 years, Carla L. (Askew) Rodrigues, whom he married on April 26, 2013 in Esperance, NY. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Alicia M. Rodrigues Foster and Rebecca A. Keough (John). Grandchildren: Cassidy Keough, Zachary Gizzi, Isabella Keough, and John Keough. Also surviving is his former wife Sheila Rodrigues, and siblings/in-laws: John Rodrigues III (Claire) Patricia Nicatra (John) and Steven Rodrigues (Gloria).
In addition to his parents, Ronald was predeceased in death by his grandmother, Lillian Motto.
In accordance with his wishes, Ronnie’s remains have been cremated. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life to be held June 21, 2025 at Esperance Elks Lodge from 2-6pm. All are welcomed.
