Obituary of Ursula M. Weatherwax
COLONIE –
Ursula M. Weatherwax, 95 of Colonie, formerly of East Greenbush, passed away on March 28, 2025.
She was born on September 9, 1929 in Berlin, Germany to the late Bruno and Margarete Volkelt. Ursula was raised and educated in Berlin, Germany, later emigrating from Germany to the United States and becoming a resident of East Greenbush NY and later on Colonie NY.
Ursula was formerly employed by Huyck Felt, St. Margaret Mary's and lastly K-Mart. She enjoyed tending her flower gardens and traveling.
Devoted wife of the late Harold B. Weatherwax; loving mother of: Harold Weatherwax (Nancy), Henry Weatherwax (Enid), Bruce Weatherwax (Lori), Brenda Creech (Marshall) and Darin Weatherwax (Tracy). Also survived by many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren in addition to her brother in law Walter Dehmel, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Ursula was predeceased by her sister, Trauti Dehmel.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service held at this time. Interment will take place in East Greenbush at a later date to be determined.
