Obituary of Judith A. Cummings-Pellegrino
BALLSTON SPA –
Judith A. Cummings-Pellegrino, 66, of Ballston Spa, formerly of Albany, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, after a long courageous fight with cancer. She was a woman of remarkable resilience.
Judith was born on February 21, 1959 at Brady Maternity Hospital to the late Patrick E. Cummings and Mary D. Mendel (Loudis). Known as Judy, she was raised in Albany and received her education from Vincentian Institute and Albany High School. She later moved to Saratoga County and resided in Ballston Spa and was an accountant for the Michael’s Group in Mechanicville. In her youth, Judy started a women’s football club in high school and also was a member of a bowling league. She will be warmly remembered as an excellent chef and baker, who loved crafting and gardening and for her love of football and the San Francisco 49ers.
She was the loving mother of Christopher B. Pellegrino, Sean P. Pellegrino, Jaclyn A. Pellegrino and mother in law of Lauren E. Pellegrino. Judy waited anxiously for the arrival of her first grandchild, her cherished granddaughter Gianna Everly Pellegrino whom she embraced with such love and pride. Her siblings include: Patrick J. Cummings (Victoria M. Macken-Cummings), Diana Quinn (David Quinn). Judy is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins including Lisa M. Zaluki, whom she was very close to.
Memorial Services for Judy will be Saturday April 5, 2025 starting at 11 o’clock at All Saints Round Lake Church, located at 3 Simpson Avenue, Round Lake NY, 12151 with a Celebration of Life to follow from 12 pm until 3pm. A private interment will take place in Memory Gardens, 983 Watervliet Shaker Road, Albany, NY 12205.
