Obituary of Frank D. Huptich
LOUDONVILLE –
Frank Daniel Huptich, 80, of Loudonville, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY after a short illness.
He was born on August 22, 1944 in Amsterdam, NY and was the son of the late Anthony and Ann Huptich. Frank was a 1963 graduate of Wilber H. Lynch High School and excelled in sports including basketball, football and track and field.
Frank served 3 years in the United States Army as an E5 Specialist. He worked at General Electric for 31 years until his retirement in 2004.
Survived by his daughter Kelley (Edward) Weber, sons Michael and David Huptich; grandchildren: Hunter, Nicholas, Isabella Weber; great grandson, Remington Doran.
In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his wife, Heidi Cushine-Huptich, sisters Patricia Machold and Gladys Queeney.
Frank enjoyed boating, fishing and swimming with his grandkids and was also known as “Pop Pop” by his adorable great grandson Remi. He loved being outdoors and picnicking at his favorite place, The Great Sacandaga Lake. Frank will be greatly missed by his family.
