Obituary of Eleanor J. Lobdell

SCHENECTADY –
 
Eleanor J. Lobdell, 83, of Schenectady, formerly of Wells, NY, passed away on February 10, 2025 at the Baptist Health Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Scotia, NY under hospice care.
 
She was born on October 1, 1941 in Schenectady, NY. A daughter of the late John and Eleanor (Collins) Ille.
 
Eleanor was raised in Wells and received her education from Wells High School and also Cosmetology School. She was employed as a Traveling HairDresser HHA.
 
Warmly remembered as caring and giving, Eleanor enjoyed helping those in need, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
 
She married the late Franklin (Skip) Lobdell, Jr. in Saint Anne’s Church, Wells NY on January 7th 1961.
 
Surviving are two daughters, Brenda Lobdell of Gloversville, NY and Rachael Lobdell of Schenectady, NY.
 
Surviving grandchildren include: Brittany Pollard, Cameron Pollard, Kaylee Lobdell, Brittany Lobdell, Diana Lobdell and two  great grandchildren: Ariana Pollard and Nova Yuret.
 
Eleanor is also survived by one sister Marion Karpov and one sister-in-law, Patricia.
 
In addition to her parents and husband, Eleanor was predeceased in death by her son, John F. Lobdell, her two brothers: John Ille, Jr., of Northville, NY and Donald Ille of Johnstown, NY, her grandson, James Borland, her brother in law Roland, and her sister in law Barbara. 
 
In accordance with her wishes, Eleanor has been cremated, and her ashes will be buried next to her late husband in the spring to be announced.
