Obituary of Colin Robert Keeney

NASSAU -

Colin Robert Keeney, Sr., 67, of Nassau, entered into rest on January 29, 2025 at Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY.

He was born on November 11, 1957 in Westfield, MA, the son of the late Edward Wesley Keeney and Irene (Gardner) Keeney. Colin attended Columbia High School, was a veteran of the United States Navy and also a self-employed stone mason.

Colin was a kind-hearted soul and had a clever wit, joking with nursing staff right to the very end. Colin was very proud of his two sons, Colin Jr. and Dillon. He was a talented stone mason, a true artist, well known to many in the community. He had an exceptional memory, often regaling friends and family with tales about his adventures and many shenanigans.

Survived by his two sons: Colin Robert Jr., and Dillon, his granddaughter Amelia Josephine. Also surviving are siblings: Ian Keeney, Susan Keeney-Smith (Robert Smith), Gavin Keeney and Robin Keeney.

A Celebration of Colin’s Life will be held at a later date to be determined at the convenience of the family.
