Obituary of Caroline M. Glenn

SCHENECTADY –
 
Caroline (Carrie) M. Glenn, 87, of Schenectady, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. 
 
She was born on March 29, 1937 in Lake Placid, New York, a daughter of the late Stanley and Marion (Sears) Maynard. Caroline, or Carrie as she was known by family and friends, was raised in Lake Placid and Schenectady New York. She was a graduate of the former Nott Terrace High School and was formerly employed by General Electric and Niskayuna Transportation Department.
 
Caroline was an accomplished pianist and was involved in the rescue of Greyhound Dogs as well as Horses. She enjoyed boating, quilting, gardening, and hosting parties. Caroline will be sorely missed by all the lives she has touched.
 
Survivors include her devoted husband of nearly 55 years, Michael M. Glenn, whom she married on May 3, 1970 in Rochester, NY. 
 
Her three daughters: Lorraine Glenn, Vicki Glenn and Denise Glenn, Her Grandchildren: Daniel Hoffman, Jr. (Nicole) and Kyle Glenn and Great granddaughter, Haley Hoffman.
 
Also surviving are two sisters: Lynn Scharbach (the late Douglas) and Elaine Palmer (the late Arthur), and son in law, Daniel Hoffman.
 
In addition to her parents, Caroline was predeceased in death by her children: Susan Hoffman, Gerry Glenn,  and one brother and sister in law: Kent Maynard (Karen).   
 
A Celebration of Caroline’s Life will be celebrated at 11 o’clock on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at The Cobblestone Church, 118 Putnam Road, Schenectady, NY 12306. Reception immediately following in the Church Fellowship Hall.
