Obituary of Anna Mary (Hofmann) Mastro
GLENVILLE –
Anna (Hofmann) Mastro passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 1, 2024, after a short illness.
Born on January 14, 1932, Anna was the daughter of the late Charles and Edith Hofmann.
Anna graduated from the Schoharie School District and went on to work as a cashier at S & S Bluestamp Redemption Center. She also worked at Shoporama Wine and Liquor as well as Saveway Supermarket and the Dry Cleaners on Hamburg Street in Rotterdam. Anna volunteered as the President of the Ladies Auxiliary of Carmen Little League in 1965. In her younger years, Anna enjoyed skiing, golfing, and bowling. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing ceramics at Phyllis's. Anna loved watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren playing sports. She was always their biggest fan! She adored her great-grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Anna had a servant's heart, always taking care of others. She was a person of boundless generosity. Anna was preceded in death by her first husband, Steve J. Trestick, and her second husband, Louis Mastro Sr., both of whom held special places in her life. Anna married Lou on September 1, 1990. They had a beautiful small wedding in the backyard of their Guilderland home and enjoyed several wonderful years together.
Anna is survived by her sons, Steven (Diane) Trestick of North Carolina, Stanley (Nancy) Trestick of Ballston Spa; her stepchildren, Nick Mastro, Sue Dosdourian, and Roseanne Mastro; five grandchildren, Joe (Penny Allen) Trestick, Ryan (Kim) Trestick, Chris (Chelsea) Trestick, David (Emily) Trestick, and Anders Trestick; five great-grandchildren, Libby, Ayven, Madelyn, River, and Caper; her siblings, George, Catherine, and Joyce; as well as several step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her parents and husband, Anna was predeceased by her siblings, George L., David, John, Michael, LeRoy (Pete), Edward, Marie, Jean, Margaret, Charles, Edith, and Bob; her stepson, Louis Mastro Jr. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Glendale Nursing Home as well as the staff at Ellis Hospital ER and Floor A5.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Hope Church, 206 Greenfield Avenue, Ballston Spa, NY 12020 at 11:00 am.
