Obituary of Jacquelyn L. Kosloski

ESPERANCE –

Jacquelyn L. “Jackie” Kosloski, 56, of Esperance, formerly of Schenectady, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 in the comfort of her own home.

Daughter of the late Edward and Patricia Smith, she was born on March 16, 1968 in Rochester, New York.

Jacquelyn, known as Jackie, by family and friends, was raised in Schenectady County and was a graduate of the former Linton High School in Schenectady.

She was an influential team member of Sunoco on Erie Boulevard in Schenectady and loved going in to work on the third shift and talking with all of her customers. Jackie was also formerly employed by the Electric City Taxi Service, retiring in 2017.

A wonderful cook who once dreamed of opening her own deli called Jan’s, named after her three children, Jackie is warmly remembered as a woman with a “heart of gold” who would do anything for anyone.
Her grandchildren were her whole life. Her idol was Reba. One of the greatest highlights of her life was adopting her son Gabriel.

Survivors include her husband and life partner of 35 years, Walter Kosloski, whom she married in the Rose Garden located in Schenectady’s Central Park.

She was a devoted mother to her children: John P. Bergen, Amber Bergen, Nicole Kane (Joshua Kane) and Gabriel Kosloski; and cherished grandmother of: Haley, Madalyn, Brantley , Preston, Jacob, Aubriella, Sadie and Julianna.

Also surviving are her extended family members in Amsterdam, New York.

In addition to her parents, Edward and Patricia, Jackie was predeceased by her Uncle Eddie and Aunts Nora and Olga.

Our family wishes to thank the Staff at Ellis Hospital as well as our extended family members and close friends for their care and support during this difficult time.

Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
