Obituary of Beverly Ruth Conto
FULTONHAM –
Mrs. Beverly R. Conto, 70, of Fultonham (Schoharie County) and formerly of Rotterdam, died on July 16, 2024 from injuries sustained in a car accident in the Town of Middleburgh.
She was born on September 14, 1953 in Waterbury, CT, a daughter of the late Joseph and Philomena “Fannie” Bonvisuto.
Beverly was raised in Hollywood, Florida, where she received her education from Hollywood Hills High School (class of 1971). This is also where she met the love of her life and then moved to Rotterdam, New York. She was a resident of Fultonham at the time of her death. Mrs. Conto retired from the Schenectady County Department of Taxation.
During her lifetime, Beverly was involved in many activities in the Gathering Place in Cobleskill. She was a Yoga and exercise enthusiast. Her beloved family warmly remembers and describes her as “the Matriarch of the Family” and that “her husband and her family were her life”. Described as selfless. She loved to cook for her large family. Beverly unknowingly and lovingly became the funny center of attention at any gathering. She loved to gather, host and cook for people at her home and everywhere else she went. She made sure to always capture these memories with a picture. She never stopped moving, and was at her happiest when doing things for others. Caring and kind, Beverly was eager to make and accept new friends.
Survivors include her devoted husband of nearly 52 years, Tom Conto, whom she married on August 19, 1972 in Hollywood, Florida.
Beverly was the loving mother of: Angela Horvath (Taylor Muztafago) Gina Ralston (Jay) Deanna Francisco (Jeff) and Julie Mercoglan. Cherished Nona of: Cyrus Horvath, Zyia Horvath, Nathan Ralston, Evan Ralston, Brayden Francisco, Mason Francisco, and Vinny Mercoglan. Dearest sister of: Joseph Bonvisuto, Jr. (Judy), Richard Bonvisuto (Cheryl) and Mary Bonvisuto. Nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members also survive.
