Obituary of Christopher Burniche
GREEN ISLAND –
Christopher Burniche, 48, of Green Island, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2024.
The son of William Burniche (Mary Ann) and Patricia Treacy (George), Christopher was born on April 14, 1976 in Troy, New York. Christopher was raised in Green Island, NY and has also resided in San Diego, CA.
He received his education from Heatly High School in Green Island. Mr. Burniche was formerly employed as District Manager for Walmart Stores, Inc. Christopher will be warmly remembered as a lover of all animals and “the glue” that held his family close. His earthly presence in their lives will be sorely missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved dogs Michael Landon and the late Chanel.
In addition to his parents, Christopher is also survived by his grandmother Joan, his brother Bill Burniche, Jr., and his sister Jenna Weitzel. His step-siblings: Kevin (Amanda) Brammer, Scott Treacy, Jill Murray, Bernadette (Michael) Koniszewski, Joel (Christina) Treacy, and Brad Treacy. Also survived by our beloved Heather (Bob) Gregory-Johnson and Brady. His nieces and nephews: Sierra, Nathan, Ailey and Keegan. Along with many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
Christopher was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Lillian McHargue and his paternal grandfather, William Burniche.

Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
The family would like to request your presence for a celebration of life at The Green Island American Legion, located at: 35 Cohoes Avenue, Green Island, NY 12183 on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 4-8PM.
Those wishing to remember Christopher in a special way, may send memorial contributions in his memory to either The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society or The Community Hospice.
