Obituary of Terence J. Driscoll, Sr.

ALBANY –
 
Terence J. "Roy" Driscoll, Sr., 70, of Albany, passed away on June 5, 2024.
 
He was born in Albany on November 8, 1953, son of Shirley (Palmer) Driscoll and the late Joseph P. Driscoll.
 
Terry or Roy, as he was known by family and friends, was a beloved father, friend, and partner. He was known for his easy-going and loving nature. He was a highly appreciative individual who always expressed gratitude and kindness towards others. Those who knew Terry best will warmly remember him as a generous and loving man with a great sense of humor. Terry cherished spending time with family, including his furry companions. He enjoyed riding along with his son on his rig and sharing quiet moments with his daughter over a cup of coffee.
 
Terry is survived by his mother, Shirley (Palmer) Driscoll; his loving partner of 47 years, Christine Driscoll; his son Terence "TJ" (Meridith) Driscoll of Tamaqua, PA; his  daughter Jaime "Rosie" (Douglas) Marsceill; his sister Patricia Driscoll; his brothers: James (Georgia), Daniel and Joseph "Jay" Jr (Karen) Driscoll, all of Albany; his grandchildren: Lee and Hazel Driscoll, Douglas, Alex, Peyton, and Kensie "Kenz" Marsceill. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
 
In addition to his father, Joseph P. Driscoll; Terry was predeceased by his sister Judith Mather (Michael); his father-in-law, James J. Zoller; and his mother-in-law, Rita C. Zoller, all of Albany.
 
In his youth, Terry attended St. Theresa's School and graduated from Albany High School. He pursued a fulfilling career as a big rig truck driver for 40 years, a profession he truly loved. In his free time, Terry enjoyed various outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, camping, and motorcycle riding. His greatest joy came from spending time with his partner, Chris, his son TJ, his daughter Jaime, and the rest of his family.
 
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
The Driscoll Family is planning to honor Terry's memory at a later date.
