Obituary of Kary Jablonka

EAST CHATHAM –
 
Kary Jablonka, 78, of East Chatham, N.Y., formerly of Albany, N.Y., passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home on May 28, 2024.
 
The son of the late Karel and Jean (Weir) Jablonka, Kary was born on March 2, 1946 in the Borough of Manhattan, New York City. He was raised in Plattsburgh, N.Y. and has resided in Albany, N.Y. and East Chatham, N.Y. for most of his life. 
 
Kary received his Master’s Degree and was formerly employed as a Public Administrator at the Professional Development Program at Rockefeller College. He served on many NFP boards and belonged to the Stockbridge Gum Club. 
 
Mr. Jablonka was also on the Chatham Town Board.
 
Survivors include his wife of nearly 27 years, Anne Quinn, whom he married on October 9, 1997 in Albany, N.Y., and one niece, Sara Holshek.
 
In addition to his parents, Kary was predeceased by his sister, Anne Holshek.
 
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
 
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
