Obituary of John J. Iarusso
AMSTERDAM –
John J. Iarusso, 89, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 22, 2024.
He was the son of the late Sebastian and Theresa Iarusso.
John is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jeanette; Daughters: Leslie Iarusso (Kathleen Lochner), Laurie Flint (Francis), Son; John (Jack) Iarusso (Catherine).
Brothers, Anthony Iarusso and the late Daniel Iarusso.
Grandchildren; Keaton Flint (Jillian); Gianna Flint; Kyle Kaczor (Jhuliana); Julianne Iarusso, AJ Iarusso, Sarah Iarusso; Great Granddaughter Charleigh Rose and his very special furry best friends “Lulu” & “Wesley”.
Several nieces and nephews.
John was employed by the famous “Lou’s Supermarket” as a clerk and Grand Union Supermarket as a Produce Manager for 38 years. John also served in the military with the U. S. Army and was a proud Veteran.
John always enjoyed Sacandaga Lake, his family trips to Wildwood, NJ, Ft Lauderdale, FL and especially taking his mother to Saratoga and the casino.
Private funeral arrangements have been scheduled for a later date at the request of the family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital and Dr. Joseph P. Fusella & staff.
