Obituary of Richard S. Beller

SCHENECTADY –
 
Richard Scott Beller, affectionately known as Rick, peacefully passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 74 in Schenectady, New York.
 
He was born on November 12, 1949, in Rockaway, Queens County, New York. Rick was preceded in death by his father, Walter Beller, his mother, Rhoda Y (Rogal) Beller, and his son, Michael G. Beller. He is survived by his devoted wife Alicia (Gayle) Beller, and brother, Stuart Jeffery Beller. He is also survived by his step-children, David Lang and Daniel Lang, and by his nieces, Lorin Dee Beller and Robin Ann Beller.
 
Rick's life was marked by a deep sense of adventure and a passion for history. He earned his Bachelor of Science in History from Post University in 1971, located in Brookville, NY, where his thirst for knowledge and love of learning flourished.
 
In addition to his academic pursuits, Rick had a profound love for horses. Whether it was horseback riding or caring for retired horses, he found solace and joy in the company of these majestic creatures. In his younger days, Rick was an avid participant in the Hunt and Polo, finding camaraderie and excitement in these equestrian pursuits.

The cremation arrangements are being compassionately handled by Simple Choices, Inc. located in Troy, NY. Per Rick's wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead, let us honor his memory by celebrating the life he lived and the joy he brought to those around him.
