This girl saved my life and touched my heart in ways I could have never imagined. We met by chance in Albany's streets, both of us struggling to find our way. I was a runaway, and Sky was facing her own challenges. But in that fateful encounter, we found strength in each other, and our lives intersected in a profound way. Moments before we were both to be trafficked, we fought for our lives and barricaded that motel door. Sky, your bravery and resilience that day will always be etched in my memory. Even after spending time in a juvenile facility, you remained in my thoughts, and the first thing I did upon release was reach out to you. But tragically, just two months later, you left this world, leaving me with a deep sense of loss and regret for not being able to help you more. Sky, you were a bright light in a dark world, and your memory will always be a reminder to cherish life's precious moments and the people who touch our lives.
