Dear Bill, Rick, Chris, Leslie and Jennifer- and entire wonderful assortment of Moyer Family and Friends, I am so sorry about Judy's death and my heart goes out to you at this very fraught time of grief. I have had the joy and inspiration of knowing Judy for the 34 years I have been ordained. She spoke the truth with love, was as fierce and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community as I have known- and one of the reasons many of us were able to hold on in the PC(USA) until justice prevailed! Her extraordinary gift of music enriched the faith of many of us, myself included. As a friend of First United, I had many occasions to work with her and always left with joy and a positive challenge to be better! She had a wonderful blend of ebullience, quick wit and fun. I remember that she loved the Hymn of Promise- "In the bulb, there is a flower, in the seed an apple tree, in cocoons a hidden promise, butterflies will soon be free...unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see!"
