Obituary of Geraldine Collins
ALBANY –
Geraldine Collins, 84 of Albany, formerly of Schenectady, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2023 at Shaker Place Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in the Town of Colonie. Her loving family was beside her.
The daughter of the late Wilfred and Clara Ashline, Geraldine was born on May 25, 1939 in Plattsburgh, NY. She was formerly employed in sales at Marshalls Department Store.
Loving mother of: Barbara (John) Garcia, Christine Smith, Karen Mack (John), Susan (Steve) Rousseau and David Collins.
She doted on her grandchildren: Jessica, Nick, Sean, Naomi, Heather, Juanito, Simon, Roxanne, Scarlett, Michelle and Jenny. She was blessed with several great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Geraldine was predeceased by her husband, the late David Collins.
Geraldine’s family wishes to acknowledge everyone at Shaker Place for their care and friendship in every department, with special thanks to Christina from the Meachum Unit who was there for our mom since day one.
In accordance with her wishes, Geraldine has been cremated. Arrangements were made through the care of Simple Choices, Inc., Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
