Obituary of James Jonathan Christie

ALBANY –
 
James Jonathan Christie, 20, of Albany, passed away peacefully under hospice care at St. Margaret’s Center for Children in Albany on August 28, 2023.
 
The son of Mindy Morris and the late Edward Christie, Jr., James was born in Albany at Albany Medical Center Hospital on June 22, 2003.
 
He was raised in Ballston Spa and has been a resident at St. Margaret’s Center since the age of 10. James attended school at the Langan School and St. Margaret’s Center. He will be warmly remembered by family and friends for his love of music, and for his warm, happy and loving spirit. James was happiest when he was around family and friends.
 
Survivors include his devoted mother, Mindy Morris and her companion, Jeff Brice, his loving siblings: Matthew Morris (26), Zachary Christie (21), and Madyson Christie (16). James is also survived by his beloved grandparents: Joyce Clough-Sellie, Michael Sellie, Edward Christie, Sr. and Diane Cardone, as well as his dearest aunts and uncles: Francelia Smith, Robin Christie, John Morris, Jr., Randy Morris and Casey Morris. 
 
James now joins his father, Edward Christie, Jr., his grandmother, Tesia Morris, his grandfather, John Morris and great grandfather John Christie in the Kingdom of Heaven.
 
James’ mother Mindy wishes to express her heartfelt gratitude to St. Margaret’s Center and The Community Hospice for their compassion, love and care for James and his family.
 
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend James’ graveside service at Memory Gardens on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Prayers will be offered at graveside beginning at 12 NOON. All are welcomed.
