Obituary of Frank Henry Moore
Frank Henry Moore (89) of 52 Elm St, and formerly of 268 Woodlawn Ave, Albany, died peacefully of old age in his daughter and son- in- law's home, on Thursday, November 15. In his last years, he had created a community of caregivers whom he entertained with his humorous stories, his twinkling blue eyes and his ability to concede with grace and humor to all that he knew was not possible to change. A story-teller, sculptor, lover of books and modern art, drums, canoes, Citroens, TR2s and Harley Davidsons, he practiced surgery in England, Ireland and in West Virginia. In Albany he was a physician in the ER at Albany Med and St Peter's Hospital, as well as at Albany Medical College Family Practice and at the Whitney Young Clinic. He was happily married to Esther Lewy for almost 50 years. He is survived by his children: Rene and Anne; grand-daughters Elinor and Hannah Mossop; son-in-law Jonathan; daughter- in- law Nancy, nephews, Karl, Francis, Justin and their families.
