Obituary of Charlotte M. Redden

HOOSICK FALLS – Charlotte M. Redden, 86, of Hoosick Falls, formerly of Stephentown, entered into rest on April 9, 2023 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. The daughter of the late Alexander and Thelma Metcalfe, Charlotte was born on September 16, 1936. Charlotte has lived in Hoosick Falls and then in Stephentown, with her son and his wife. She received her education from Hoosick Falls High School and Austin Beauty School. Charlotte worked as a beautician in her own shop, she then worked for General Cable in Pownal VT. After her marriage to Frank Redden, she was self-employed at Redden's Vegetables. Charlotte cherished her grandchildren and enjoyed arranging dried flowers, often selling them at a booth at the Schaghticoke Fair for many years. Survivors include one son, Thomas (Tena) Case, her grandchildren: Stephanie and Jeremy (Sarah) Case and her great grandchildren: Abram Case and Elijah Case of Arlington, VT. Charlotte is also survived by her siblings and their spouses: Alberta Tefft, Gordon Metcalfe (Ruth), and Robert Metcalfe (Nancy). In addition to her parents, Charlotte was predeceased by two husbands: Cheney Case Jr. and Frank Redden, her brothers: Willard Metcalfe, Charles Metcalfe, Ralph Metcalfe, and her sisters: Barbara Cramer, Patricia Colegrove, Marion Westcott and Thelma Tifft. Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. A Celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held at a later date to be determined by the Family.
