Obituary of Jeanne L. Blake

VALLEY FALLS – Jeanne L. Blake, 70, of Valley Falls, formerly of Troy, entered into rest in the comfort of her own home under Hospice Care on April 4, 2023. Born on April 24, 1952, in Troy, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Clarence Sicley and J. Olive (Christensen) Weaver. Jeanne received her education from Averill Park and E.O.C., As a working adult, she was employed as a CNA at the Eddy Heritage House in Troy. Jeanne loved to spend time with her husband, her kids, and grandkids, they all treasured family time while camping. She also loved spending time with her daughters (getting her nails done). Jeanne would always dress up for Halloween to put a smile on her resident's faces. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Gary R. Blake, whom she married on February 6, 1971, in West Sand Lake, NY. Her Children and their spouses: Robert Sicley (Kelly), Chris Blake, Wendy Blake, Nicole Forette and Gary A. Blake, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Jeanne is also survived by one sister, Dawn Baldwin as well as many nieces and nephews. The Blake Family would like to thank The Community Hospice (especially Marcia) for the care and compassion given to Jeanne in her final days. In accordance with her wishes, Jeanne was cremated.
