Simple Choices, Inc. is the premier provider of cremation and memorial services in the Capital District. Independently owned and operated, Simple Choices was founded by a licensed funeral director with over 40 years’ experience in funeral service.
Regardless of when and where a death occurs, a family member should call Simple Choices as soon as possible. We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We promise that you will not cross this bridge alone. We will be with you in your time of need, every step of the way.
We serve the entire Albany area and beyond, providing respectful and dignified services. For convenience and affordability, no other cremation service in the Capital District compares.
There are no limitations as to the number of hours or days that we will hold the remains of your loved before additional charges are incurred. Many of our competitors begin charging “sheltering” or “custodial” fees after 24 hours of holding remains prior to cremation.
There are no additional charges for the cardboard cremation container for the body and the temporary container for the ashes, obtaining the death certificates, notifying social security, submitting an obituary to the newspapers, placing an obituary on our website and filing for a Veteran’s flag, or for keeping your loved one sheltered until the cremation may legally take place.

We are very proud to offer the most affordable prices and we will provide pricing information over the telephone, or during an in-person consultation. We always provide a detailed, written itemization of all the services and merchandise involved with a complete total - and we have no hidden fees.
Identification and Security: We have a procedure to verify the identity of the cremated remains, before, during and following cremation. You can have complete peace of mind knowing that the cremated remains you receive are those of your loved one.
