Mary Lou Frazier/Russell, 54, of Halfmoon, born April 6th, 1962, passed away on August 2nd, 2016 shortly after spending time with her family.
Born in Troy to the late Elizabeth and Art Russell. Beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend to all of God's creatures. She carried on, and passes down a legacy of unconditional love and acceptance of all things.
She was a graduate of Troy High School and went on to serve in the military. After returning home, she dedicated her time, resources and love to saving dogs and cats. She worked with local ASPCA, and No Kill Shelters from as far away as New Orleans to find safe and caring homes for the most vulnerable animals.
She is survived by her pride and joy, Kyle Russell (son); siblings: Bud and Julie Russell, Chris and Linda Russell, Beth Russell, Gary Connors, John Murray; niece and nephews: Miranda and Leah Russell, Matt, Samantha, Christopher, and Joseph Connors, and Blake Murray. On August 20th from 11a.m. - 1p.m. we will have a memorial to share memories and prayers at the Pagoda located at the Oakwood Ave entrance of Frear Park in Troy.
A special thank you to Mary Woodman and the staff from hospice and Samaritan hospital for their support and kindness. We ask that you please do something kind for an animal in need if you are able.
