Obituary of Nicolette Marie Campese

Latham NY Nicolette Campese, 59, of Latham, passed away on Tuesday March 15, 2016 at the Hospice Inn at St Peter’s Hospital in Albany. Nicolette was born on April 12, 1956 at St Mary’s Hospital in Troy. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Campese of Troy and Grace (DiModugno) Campese of Watervliet. Nicolette resided in the Capital District all her life, with locations encompassing Latham, Eagle Mills, Troy, and Delmar. She was a graduate of Shaker High School in Latham. Nicolette was self-employed most of her life, the largest part of which she was a commercial seamstress. She was the owner of a small company called “A Stitch in Time” where she repaired and manufactured tents and tarps. She later owned a company called Protack Mfg. in Albany where she made equipment for the Harness Racing industry. She enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and spending time with her Niece and Nephews. Whenever her nephews spent time with her while she was at her business they would come home with a giant homemade stuffed animal that they made from scraps and leftover material in the shop. Having no children of her own, Nicolette cherished her niece and nephews and treated them as her children. Nicolette is survived by her siblings and their families; Frank and Claudia Campese from North Carolina, with their sons Joe and Dominic Campese in North Carolina. Lou Campese currently living in Mexico, his son Louis Campese in Georgia. Rick and Teresa Campese in Ballston Spa NY, their sons Nick and Andrew Campese in New York. Bob and Susan Campese in Nantucket Mass., their daughter Julia and son Ben Campese in Mass. In keeping with her specific wishes, there will no formal ceremony held. Some of her ashes will be scattered in a meaningful place and the rest will be buried alongside her parent’s graves at St Patrick’s Cemetery in Latham in a private ceremony.
