Obituary of David C. Findlay

Halfmoon David C. Findlay, 56, of Halfmoon, lost his courageous battle with melanoma on July 14,2014.He passed peacefully with his sisters at his side at the Hospice Inn at Saint Peter’s Hospital in Albany. David was born in Bayside, New York on February 14, 1958. He was the first born child of the late David and Josephine Findlay. He was the devoted brother of Diana Coulter (Mark) and Alicia Foti (Damian). His love for his nieces and nephews, David, Khali, and Jenna Coulter, Dylan and Danielle Foti was unconditional. The many visits to Toys R Us when they could “choose whatever they wanted” will never be forgotten. Joanne Saisanas was considered by David to be his third sister. David was always available to help his sisters, brothers-in-law and placed his nieces and nephews first in his life. There has never been a dog that David did not love and vice versa. Nero and Luna his “therapy dogs” to the end will miss him greatly. Spending time with his family brought such joy to David. Preparing massive amounts of his chicken parm and lemon chicken or fixing one of the “kids” computers, made him happy and complete. In addition, David’s work for Security Integrations defined him. A job well done was the only option. His co-workers’ support during his unexpected end was much appreciated. We would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Hospice Inn for their excellent care to David. Donations may be made to The Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital, 315 S. Manning Blvd., Albany NY 12208 in David’s honor. The family has planned a private funeral.
