So sorry to read about your loss. I do know what it's like to lose a brother for I am down to only 1, Paul. They do have a special place in a sister's heart. My deepest sympathy to all of you. Take care, Mary Ann

You will always be in our hearts and in our memeories. We will miss you dearly Uncle John.
GOD’S GARDEN
God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, ‘Peace bethine’.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

I went through graded and high school with John. We called him "pepere", because he always seemed to be older and wiser than the rest of us. rest in peace

I spoke with John's oncologist, Dr. Shaffer, last week, and he said that all the staff at NY Oncology & Hematology remember John as a kind, gentle patient, and shared their condolences. When John first went for chemo, someone "rang the gong." We learned that this was done when someone had completed their chemo treatments. John always wanted to "ring the gong," but never had the chance. I asked Dr. S., and he said that he would ring the gong for John.
